Dr Theresa Rambaran is passionate about seeing more girls proving their mettle in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Rambaran, whose research at the Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine at Umeå University in Sweden centres on the development of plant-based supplements to counter heart-related diseases, has even founded an organisation geared towards encouraging STEM education among girls – ACLaS.
